Experience the Northern Lights from the mountains above Björkliden.

Climb aboard a snowcat and leave the roads behind as we travel into the winter landscape. Your local guide will take you safely into the mountains, sharing stories and knowledge about the area, the Arctic environment and the Northern Lights along the way.

Inside the snowcat, you can sit back and stay warm and comfortable as the landscape passes by. When we find a good spot, we stop and step outside into the crisp Arctic night.

Take a moment to look up at the stars, breathe in the cold mountain air and listen to the quiet around you. If the conditions are right, the Northern Lights may appear above the mountains – a natural spectacle that is always different and never quite the same twice.

After some time under the night sky, we return to the warmth of the snowcat and make our way back to Björkliden.

This is a relaxed way to experience the Northern Lights and the winter mountains, combining an off-road journey with time outdoors in the Arctic landscape.

• Minimum age: Children aged 12 and over are warmly welcome to participate, but must always be accompanied by at least one paying parent/adult.

• Important: Dogs are not permitted inside the snowcat.

Please note

Warm clothes

Although you will stay warm and comfortable during the journey, we will spend time outside when we stop to look for the Northern Lights. Warm winter clothing, winter boots, gloves and a hat are recommended.

The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings cannot be guaranteed. The route and stopping locations may vary depending on weather, snow conditions and visibility. Your guide will always choose the safest and most suitable location for the evening.
